1. Immune System:

Sugar is known as white poison. Most of us are ignorant of the negative impact of white sugar in our immune system.  White sugar is used in refined forms in foods and mainly dissolved in hot drinks and soft drinks. It is also used in the preparation of sweets and chocolates.  According to a study recently published in the "American Journal of Public Health" that excessive intake of sugars cause a decline in the activity of white blood cells by 50% in between 1 to 5 hrs which makes one vulnerable to immune dysfunction and exposure to virus and infections.

 2. Smoking: 

Smoking is one of the human created opportunities for toxins to enter into the body. Smoking cigarette can pave way for substantial quantities of harmful substances to enter into the body and which can cause oxidation in the body.

 3. Lack of proper sleep :

 Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland. Recent studies proved that it is mostly secreted during the sleep hours of a human body.  The human exposure to light can alter its secretion process. The light that reaches the eye stimulates some nerve and prevent the pineal gland from producing these hormone. It should be noted that this hormone controls the other hormones produced by the pituitary gland near pineal gland, and prevents oxidation processes hazardous to the body and helps to support the immune system and works to regulate the body clock and resist the entry of any chemical substance foreign to the body. The substance that is alien to our body can influence the secretion of other hormones like growth hormone etc.

4. The use of salt benzoin: 

Using Mono Sodium Glutamate (MSG) known as the " salt benzoin " used in Chinese dishes is a highly harmful substance. It can cause damage to the central nervous system and the endocrine glands and stress management system in the heart. They are also used in canned soups and in sauces and in large number of canned and frozen foods. Salt benzoin is used in food stuffs under different names like "vegetable protein" or "natural flavour" or "yeast analyst self" . Eating too much of food containing  salt benzoin gives headache, nausea, diarrhea, mood swings and sleep disturbances and frequent sweating and the occurrence of chest pain and mild redness of the skin etc. All these factors can negatively affect the body's immune system.

 5.Excessive consumption of saturated fats:

 Excessive consumption of saturated fat contained in fast food and ready-made food stuff can have a negative impact on the efficient functioning of the digestive system. It is also known as the "trans-fats". Affecting the digestive system these trans fats makes the production of antibodies less effective, as well as give increased levels of "bad cholesterol" in the blood and thus increases the chance of heart disease.

6.Inhibitors Psychological:  

Sudden depression which continue for long periods of time and severe feeling of sorrow following the loss of dear ones, emotional fluctuations etc can affect the number of lymphocytes in the body. This can lead to a clear reduction in the resistance time against attack of germs or harmful viruses or cancer cells.

 7. Lack of Exercise:

 The lack of physical activity and lack of exercise inhibit auto immune system in the body.The weakness in the metabolic activity of the body increase the chance of immune dysfunction.

Perspiration and resulting pungent and unpleasant smell causes embarrassment to many.Here are some simple tips to get rid of that problem.
  Sweating is not something embarrassing in itself, but what follows it is an unpleasant odour. This unpleasant smell shows the presence of infection, especially in some specific areas such as underarm. Sweating is a natural way by which body maintains its temperature. Sweating happens as a result of the functioning of sweat glands. When the body works hard and also when it have to face a sultry weather sweat glands works in accordance with metabolic activity of the body and produce sweat. It usually consist of water and some dissolved salts which can react with bacteria and fungi and can cause unpleasant odour. Perspiration is a common activity happens in human body. But the rate of perspiration and the resulting smell varies from person to person. As in every case the food habits is directly linked with perspiration. The sweating rate that is in private areas neck and face is high in those who take spicy food. Drinking too much coffee and obesity are another cause for sweating. Drinking and smoking will also make you more prone to over sweating. The rate of perspiration is high means the chances of bacteria and fungi infection is high and the resulting pungent smell also.
 Drinking lot of water can help to reduce this smell. Reduce your weight in proportion to your height is very important. Consult a doctor and use prescribed soaps and lotions while you bath. Using cotton clothes can also reduce this foul smell out of sweat. Use washed neat and tidy clothes; try to wear loose clothes also. Another important thing is to bath twice a day. And remember to use antifungal antibacterial powders on your private area and also take heed to keep these areas dry after shower. Use deodorants and perfume to keep you fresh. But remember over use of perfume is a signal to others that you have body odour. And also excessive use of perfume can be sometimes irritating for others.

The researchers shows reports that daily food including natural vegetables and fruits can reduce lot of  life style diseases like cholesterol, Blood pressure , diabetes etc.         Including root vegetables like carrots, beets in diet also do the same function. Carrot is a rich source of vitamin A and beets can trigger blood cells production above all this it can fight against cancer also.  A lower risk of kidney cancer is very significant compared to the kind of exposure we have to diseases.   The efficiency of banana lies in its rich antioxidants which are known as phenolic. These antioxidants can help a lot in the metabolic activity and can reduce the work load of kidney maintaining it healthy and vigilant. The studies conducted on women who ate banana four times a week showed half the normal risk of kidney cancer and in women who ate beets and carrots showed a reduced risk by 50 to 65%. Consuming lettuce, white cabbage, cucumber and vegetable salads etc can help to a great extend in reducing the risk of cancer.  White cabbage contains compounds isothiocyanate which proved to be effective anti-tumorous in laboratory experiments.  Drinking alcohol and smoking and using other drugs will totally damage the daily metabolic activity  of human body .The life style of human beings  have a changed a lot by the recent century . Most of the diseases people facing now is an outcome of this life. Eating fruits and vegetables  is part of proper food habit and is a part of good life style. We eat food when we are hungry. Eating food is basic activity that every organism follow to meet its energy need. The food that we eat gets converted in to different compounds. The carbohydrate released after digestion is converted into glucose and these glucose get into the blood stream and it reaches each body cells.  And in the presence of oxygen carry out the metabolism. Each cell needs particular quantity of glucose based on its energy need. For example the muscle cells need high rate of glucose. The remaining glucose will be in the blood and later it will be converted into glycogen and stored in liver. The whole process is controlled by Insulin. The beta cells of pancreas produce insulin. Insulin works as a key which opens the doors of cells for glucose to enter to carry out metabolism and to produces energy.
 Diabetes is the condition of a human body where sufficient insulin is not produced and the processing  of glucose is not carried out properly, resulting in a high level glucose  in blood stream.
       Diabetics are of 2 types. Type 1:- Which is also called Juvenile diabetics in which beta cells are inefficient to produce insulin. Next one is type 2:- In which insulin is produced but inefficient to perform its duty.
In both the cases the excessive glucose in blood combines with haemoglobin in blood to form glycosylated haemoglobin which blocks the narrow blood vessels. The cells near to this narrow blood vessel will not get necessary nutrients, minerals ,blood and oxygen supply and thereby these cells degenerate. This mainly affects narrow blood vessel like that of retina and results in retinopathy when it affect kidney system it is neuropathy
Some Precautions you can take:-
Know your Calories.
You must know the calories you can take. Eating too much will result in high glucose level in blood. The calories one can take can be known by consulting a dietician.
Know your number.
Know your average glucose level HbA1C. A diabetic patient must understand this number. Excess glucose in blood combines with haemoglobin forms glycosylated haemoglobin. The red blood cell lives 8-12 weeks before it is replaced by new red blood cell. Therefore by testing glucose level in blood with in 8-12 weeks it is easy to understand the blood glucose level. HbA1C is the average blood glucose level over the last 8-12 weeks. The normal level of HbA1C is less than 6.5%.
Regular Exercise.
Regular exercise is very important to keep your diabetics under control. The amount of glucose in blood can be maintained easily through regular exercise. Through a daily work out in gym you could burn excessive glucose in blood. It is not necessary you should go to gym, the steps like walking to the shortest distance with out burning petrol in your car but burning your glucose is very useful.
Don’t skip breakfast.
Eat your morning food properly. Morning food is very important since skipping it can lead to excessive intake of food in an irregular way. Studies proved that taking right calorie of morning food can even avoid the chance of obesity. If we can’t eat our morning food the craving of the body for energy will be high and to supply this needs we will eat the rest of the day more than what we need.
Hereditary diabetics
Those who having chances of diabetics in future can delay its course of occurrence through regular exercise and by regulating life style. Knowing your calories and through a regular check up you can keep diabetics under control.

Hangover is a temporary disease that usually occurs after using drugs. It will take time to come back to a normal state after a booze party hangover. This is because alcohol that we consume slows down the whole process of brain. There are lot of misconception about the hangover. Some of it is very funny and taking a closer look we can understand that only a few of it is reasonable.

1.Hangover is a silly thing.

 No, hangover is not a trivial matter. Hangover is the natural reaction of a body when it can not withstand the alcoholic content imbibed and processed by the body. Alcohol mainly affects the central nervous system and brain. Alcohol reacts with chemicals in body produces poisonous compounds. Usually liver tries to purify body by processing these poisonous compounds. But when liver can not take this over load due to excessive drinking body help its organs by pushing out it. Thus a person starts vomiting, urinating frequently and even dehydration. The very next morning will start with headache and dry mouth. All this together is considered as hangover.

2. Hangover is same for men and women.

No. Hangover is not the same for men and women. Even if a man and woman take same quantity of same brand alcohol the level of hangover will be high on women. The reason sited is that body of a man contains more water content compared to that of a woman and  this water can reduce the effect of alcohol on mans’ body and the hangover will be less compared to woman.

3. Only excessive drinking gives hangover

Excessive drinking may leads to hangover but avoiding it will not be enough. Hangover depends on the body features. In those who have a weak body status the range of hangover is high with a less quantity of alcohol. Drinking water in between can reduce dehydration and also can reduce the quantity of alcohol intake.

4. No hangover for Wine                                                           

Red wine contains tannin which can cause headache. Whisky and other liquor made from barley and grains can cause hangover. Those who afraid of hangover can use beer, vodka and gin etc which have only low rate of hangovers compared to other drinks.

5. Diet cocktails are safe

Diet drinks are good for those who want to reduce calories. But they are not effective in reducing hangover. Eating fruits , vegetables etc can reduce the percentage of hangover.

6. Drinking liquor before beer

The order of drinking liquor or beer is not relevant in case of hangover. What really matters is the amount of alcohol we intake.  12 ounce beer and 5 ounce wine and 1.5 ounce hot drink contains same amount of alcohol.

7. Eating food will reduce hangover

Eating food after hangover will not influence the hangover status. It is good to take food before drinking. Any type of food can reduce the absorption of alcohol but food having fat content is preferable. Eating fatty food before drinking can reduce hangover. And drink lot of water before you go to bed.

8.Eating pain killers

Eating pain killers will not reduce hangover. The effect of these medicines last for only 4 hours. So when you wake up the influence of medicine will be gone. Instead of this you can take pain killers when you wake up. Avoid taking ascetaminophen cause taking ascetaminophine the liver will get engaged in processing it while alcohol will work to damage the liver. Result is damaged and swelled up liver.

9. Alcohol will give good sleep.

Drinks will spoil sleep. It is true that alcohol will make you sleepy but it will devoid you of sound sleep. You will get only a disturbed sleep and the hangover will distract the end of sleep.  You will wake up little bit early also.

10. Having cocktail when you wake up can reduce hangover.

Taking a drink when you wake up will not reduce hangover in turn it will give you prolonged hangover with sever headache. If you can not go on without a peg in the morning realise that you are addict to alcohol and have to consult a doctor

11.Drinking Coffee.

Drinking coffee can not reduce the effect of hangover. It will increase the dehydration. If you had drinks at night it is better not to take foods which contain caffeine. Drinking plain water frequently is good. If the person have vomiting it is necessary to drink water.12. Medicines are there to avoid hangover.No specific medicines are there to reduce hangover. Only some rare medicines are found efficient in reducing hangover headache and dryness of mouth and nausea.

What are hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids are the inflation of the veins of rectum. In rectum there are two types of veins. Internal veins and External veins which are found under the skin of the anus. Gradually these veins turn in to piles.

Symptoms: -
Hemorrhoids come with following symptoms. Itching and irritation and discomfort and constant pain in the anus as well as the occurrence of bleeding and feeling a lump in the anus. The mucus secretion comes out of anal track will be irritating and itching. The bulging of veins leads to the blockage of stool and thereby defecating by pushing the stool hard leads to bleeding.

How to treat it yourself?

Most of the hemorrhoids are not so serious and will improve within few days without treatment by regulating food and drinking lot of water.
There are some ways to get rid of the pain.
Wash the area with salty lukewarm water to get rid of the mucus that leaks out.
Use soft toilet papers and take out most care when you clean the area.
Avoid chances of constipation by drinking plenty of water and eating vegetables.
When you feel a lump try to push it smoothly to the top and try to loosen the anal track. Creams are available for hemorrhoids, but prolonged use is not good.
Eat meals rich in fiber.
Do not postpone defecation and take enough time for it.

Is there any relation between our food habit and hemorrhoids?

Studies suggests that the causes of the disease is directly associated with what we eat and the amount of food we take. Food containing fibers is very useful for an easy bowel movement which reduces the stress on anal area and thereby it can reduce chances of bleeding. Vegetables and fruits are the natural sources of fiber. Eating fiber rich food daily can reduce constipation. Drinking lot of water is another useful habit which can reduce constipation problem and hemorrhoids. Vegetable fiber helps in bowel movement and the growth of intestinal bacteria which protect colon from cancer and intestinal infections. It has been proved that a human body needs 25 grams of fiber per day. The pulses like beans and lentils increase the consumption of fiber. Eating fruits also increases the moisture level in stool which reduces constipation and bleeding.

When to consult a doctor?
  You must see a doctor if the symptoms persist for more than a week or more. And  if bleeding and severe pain continues unnaturally and beyond control it is very important to make sure that there is no other reason.

People sometimes feel hungry even after having a splendid meal. Studies shows that this is due to the capacity of some food items to fool our brain to crave for more food. This food items can make our body desire for more food even though we don't feel hungry in it real sense. Same way some food items can give  us sudden satiety without eating much of it. We are going to discuss some food items which give such illusions.

Drinking Soda
 Soda ,tea, chilled and sweetened syrups etc can give you such illusions.  Fructose in these soft drinks can deceive our brain and thereby eating more food without feeling hungry. This fructose block leptin ; the hormone which informs the brain its satiety point.

  Eating tin food

  Canned  food items contains  Bisphenol which is considered as a disturbing chemical. Exposure to these chemical compound fluctuate the leptin production resulting in lust for food and thereby obesity.Obesity is a serious disease faced by modern era. Fast foods and busy scheduled life contribute much to this disease.

Skipping Breakfast or eating less

Studies in around 6000 people constantly proved that those who eat 300 calories of breakfast is more susceptible to gain twice their weight than those who eat 500 calories of morning food. That means eat big breakfast and keep in control your appetite.

 Lack of Power.

Many people are reluctant to eat veg food. Every one goes for non veg food which in turn  gives lot of health problems. To maintain a good health one have to eat leafy vegetables rich in folic acid, Vitamin B etc which can help to reduce fatigue , weight gain and even depression.Lettuce, spinach etc are good source of this. Those who having a good ratio of folic acid can maintain body weight proportionally to their height. Green pepper is a good source of Vitamin K which controls the insulin and food craving. 

 Drink Black tea

After a rich and delicious meal rich in carbohydrates having a cup of black tea will reduce the blood sugar level in our body to 10% for 2 and half hours. This means that no sudden hungry feelings. Black tea contains the compounds which can reduce the releasing of digestive enzymes which cause hungry feelings.

Not enough water in our Body

The lack of sufficient water in our body can cause hungry feelings.  Sometimes we feel totally famished even after a meal. And we may wonder why we feel so. The remedy is to take a glass of cold water you can see with in no time  your hunger is vanished.

 Studies proved that distracting visuals can help to curb cravings for food. If you are really hungry  a picture of huge steak will look attractive and influencing . But if your are not really hungry it will not tempt you. The outcome can be used to decide whether to take a meal or not.

Why my teeth looks so clumsy even after brushing 3 times a day? This is a common question we hear in dental clinics. Most of the middle aged people  come to visit doctor with a painful tooth and infected gum. We have to keep the temperature inside fridge to minimum   5⁰. For that we have to avoid frequent opening and closing of the fridge, take the necessary things that we need from fridge quickly by opening it for a single time . This will reduce the power consumption also.Try to arrange food materials according to the cooling system of the fridge. The food items which need less cooling  only can be placed in the lower section of the door and those need most just beneath the freezer etc.Avoid stuffing your fridge with things that is not necessary. Only the food materials that you are sure you will use  should be stored inside it. Don't insert excess food suddenly without cooling it from the minimum cooking temperature. And   also don't keep it aside till evening .To defrost your food just keep it inside a fridge itself for 24 hours. Don't defrost the food materials using hot water or tap water; it is not a healthy habit. Defrosted food must be used with in 24 hours especially those which defrosted using micro wave oven. To avoid all this just store fish and meat as small packets of sufficient quantity.Chance for food poisoning is high if once properly cooked food is used frequently by taking out of fridge and warmed and again storing back in fridge. Always use food materials stored in fridge after heating it up to  70⁰ C for minimum 2 minutes. Always keep raw meat and fish materials properly packed and in separate cover, if not the  food may get hard and unusable. This condition is called  freezer burn. Never keep cooked meat and fish with uncooked meat and fish, it may get contaminated.It is advisable to keep meat and fish in the lower section of the fridge.Never keep the opened tin or can food inside fridge as it is. If left over food materials in cans and tin is there, keep it in fridge by taking out the whole food and storing it in another neat bag or container.Always keep in mind that if the temperature level of your fridge is greater than  5⁰ c your fridge is good home for number of bacteria and other micro organisms which can gift you food poison to harmful disease.
