Why my teeth looks so clumsy even after brushing 3 times a day? This is a common question we hear in dental clinics. Most of the middle aged people  come to visit doctor with a painful tooth and infected gum. In these cases a close and thorough examination of the teeth shows that there is accumulated dental plaque in their teeth. These accumulated stain can not be removed so easily with regular brushing.

How this stain or this dental plaque comes?
After eating food we wash our mouth but still some food particles remains in our mouth which gradually accumulate in our teeth. If we don't remove this properly this may get accumulated day by day . The calcium in our saliva joins with this stain  results in green or brown colored stain in your teeth.

Does this stain  cause mobile loose teeth and painful gums?
Yes. These stains around your tooth ; which usually forms near your gums is the main cause for the swelling  sensitive gums and teeth. If we do not treat this problem in time this may lead to serious infection of the gum and decay of the bones near to the root of the teeth.  And thereby resulting in loose and mobile teeth. The closely packed teeth gets parted apart forming gaps in between teeth .This condition is painful.

Can we get back our old beautiful teeth?
Yes , of course but before that you have to get treatment for the infection of the gums. After consulting a dentist and cleaning your teeth (scaling) and treating your swelling gums you can look forward to make your teeth beautiful.

Why people fail to get treatment for swelling gums?
Swelling gums or the infection of the gums is not a distressing or painful one until it reaches its peak. So usually people neglect this disease and never go to consult a doctor. More than that nobody is aware of the  fact that inflammation of the gum may lead to lot of serious diseases.

Can this infection of gum cause other diseases?

It has been suspiciously proven that the stain and plaque formation in our teeth and gum inflammations are closely related to heart disease and lung diseases and even to Stroke. From an infected and swelling gum the pathogens can get into the blood stream and can cause serious disease to other parts of the body.

The possibility of premature labor is high in pregnant ladies who have infected gums. It is very relevant to undergo a thorough dental check up during the pregnancy period.

So it is very important keep your teeth clean by brushing 3 or 2 times a day in proper way. How to brush properly is a question which can be resolved by consulting a dentist.
